- Stretching to get loosened up.
- 0.1 miles at 3 MPH to warm up

I never thought I would actually like to exercise, but I'm really glad that I made myself actually start doing it. It's an awesome feeling that's hard to describe. It's an emptiness in your brain and a sharp focus on the task at hand. It's refreshing mentally and physically. You'd think that you'd be tired afterwards, but you feel good and rejuvenated afterward.
If you've been thinking about exercising, I highly recommend just starting. You don't have to go all out and get some crazy gym membership or anything. Search youtube for home workout exercises. Most jobs will have a workout room, or you have a friend with equipment that you can use. you'll thank yourself for it.
I used to run for about half an hour a day, just wanted to see if I could go further and further each day. Got up to about 5 miles in a half hour which is pretty good. But then the temperature dropped way too low (-10F) and I stopped for a while. You have just encouraged me to pick it up again.
ReplyDeletegood stuff man, just recently got back into going to the gym. Can't beat that feeling once you finished your workout
ReplyDeleteidk what i do but my threadmill on weight loss work my fat ass for 30 minutes, i do it everyday while i'm unemployed.
ReplyDeleteBeach body here i come
Running is great--just not outside this time of year.
ReplyDeleteMy lungs can't take that crap these days. ((When you taste blood when you run, you know it's not good for your lungs. Cold air is a SCRATCHY b*tch to them.))
...I just hate treadmills with a passion. Thus I am split. Physical or mental agony? ...or just do nothing?
I love running no matter what the weather and I always try to push myself to a new goal in running.
ReplyDeletei kind of want to start running
ReplyDeleteI love the feeling after a nice run, too bad my asma is pretty bad... :(
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for walking. That's one thing I've always hated. I mostly stick to strength training excercises, but I end up ignoring my cardio. Probably not the best thing for me in the long run. If I actually had a treadmill, I'd probably use it, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're loving exercising bro, its a great way to keep in shape, live longer, and alleviate stress.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had your patience! Following to see what I can learn here!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way after starting to exercise. Took some getting used to, but there is a light at the extremely short tunnel. :P
ReplyDeletelooks interesting
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I biked 20 miles today
ReplyDeleteReally is an awesome feeling eh? I had made it my New Years resolution to run 30 mins each day, and 100 pushups/situps every second day. It's been a little over a month now - and seeing results! It's all about the mental buzz.
ReplyDeletesome people say its best to spike the speed just before stopping and then have a cool-down. have you tried that?
ReplyDeleteThis has reminded me to get back into my own cardio soon , been slackin lately
ReplyDeleteI really need to start running again, will probably have to get a treadmill as its winter but.. I miss it lots!
